A、Education goal and Professional development

Our department was established in 2004. Due to the "Digital Learning Industry Promotion and Development Plan"(Phase 1) promoted by the Industrial
Development Bureau, MOEA from 1992 to 1996. Therefore, in addition to cooperating with the development goals of colleges and universities, and observing
the overall professional development trend of the country, in order to cooperate with the "digital industry development plan" promoted by the country, our department has
decided to actively cultivate talents related to the digital content industry.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C. has promoted the second five-year plan since 1997. The Digital Content Industry Promotion Office of the Ministry of Economics was officially unveiled on September 29, 1998. The Executive Yuan has listed the development of the digital content industry as one of the six key projects under the cultural and creative industries of emerging industries. The Executive Yuan also approved the "Digital Publishing Industry Development Strategy and Action Plan" in August 1998, to promote Taiwan as a global digital publishing industry. So far, the "Cultural and Creative Industry Development Plan-Digital Content Industry Project" has continued to expand the current digital content industry covering content, hardware, software and application services.

From the skills of our department's multimedia design specialty as you can see; have always been closely linked to the national digital professional trend. The development priorities, goals and skills are summarized as follows:

(A)Goals

The target of our department for talent education is in the digital content industry. From this industry, there are three main types of talents trained, including digital audio and video, digital games, and digital value-added.

Our masters degree program focuses cultivates highly specialized talents with innovative ideas and leadership skills in three fields of the multimedia industry.

(B)Development focus

Our long-term development plan will be based on the expertise of our teachers, accurate interpretation of the industry needs, and what benefits the future employment of students. The main focus is to make integrated planning in the following aspects: the development of professional skills, the improvement of teaching quality, the care of student growth, and the return of social services. Described as below

  • Professional development
  1. Strengthen the professional skills of our department, and through the establishment of various laboratory equipment to connect with the industry, and to provide incentive for corporations to collaborate with our department.
  2. Seek out cooperation opportunities with target industry, provide professional education, internships, industry-academia cooperation. By enhancing our teacher’s knowledge in latest development of the industry and putting what the students learned into use with internship experiences of companies in the field in the last semester we improve the employment rate of our students.
  3. Implement students’ basic abilities, improve their application abilities and training on professional fields.
  4. Our Digital Content Creation Industry master degree which is established in 2011, has been undergoing a changing process to three years we have been devoting to transitioning to be more practical, cooperating with enterprises to train digital content industry senior talents.
  5. The master's class is recruiting preparatory students to continue the training of the university department. Our one-year degree program is in line with the current trend.
  6. In 1996, we stopped recruiting the continuing education department of two-year technical program; later that year, we started continuing education department of four-year technical program to increase the chances for students of the area to receive education locally. At present we accept students by independent admissions.
  7. Since 2017, we accept 45 students annually to our continuing education program of our four-year technical program in the training department, and it is expected that the number of enrollment targets will be expanded by admissions in multiple methods.
  • The improvement of teaching quality
  1. Encourage teachers to attend continuing education sessions, and assist teachers to strengthen their teaching abilities.
  2. Cooperate with schools for teaching quality encouragement and incentive measures, also cooperate with schools for evaluation and regulations to understand more about teaching evaluation, for the improvement of teaching quality.
  3. Develop forward-looking courses, innovative research, and teaching step-by-step, to promote the department's professional and cross-disciplinary cooperation plans; through each professional curriculum, we provide a step-by-step teaching model to enrich the teaching content and improve the quality of professional courses. Secondly, we promote interdisciplinary cooperation through reading clubs, autonomous learning, and microcredit courses, so that students have the ability to think across fields.

  • The care of student growth
  1. To improve the performance of students, we handle various lectures and exhibitions. Firstly, experts and scholars from all fields are invited to give lectures to open up students' perspectives and ideas. Secondly, the Department has organized department exhibition activities since the 2008 academic year and select outstanding works in various courses for everyone to study and observe. Through the competitiveness between peers, students can be more aggressive; this department also plans to organize cross-school exhibitions, through the joint exhibition mode, to provide cross-school students to show design creativity by platform, and also enable students and peers to have benign competition between each other, to stimulate their designing potential.
  2. Encourage students to participate in national and international competitions, build self-confidence, encourage teachers to guide students to participate in various domestic and international competitions. Through competitions, we enhance students 'design ability, students' digital media competitiveness, and the professional image of the department.  Reward students of this department to participate in national and international competitions during the school period, improve design professional ability and increase employment competitiveness; more actively counsel graduates to participate in public exhibitions, and the large design exhibitions for Taiwan’s students is also a great opportunity to respond to the industry and promote their design talents, it can cultivate students communication and interaction skills.
  3. Counseling students to participate in license examinations to promote employability. Since 2011, this department has established the "ACA International Certification Center" in cooperation with Elite Information Technology Company to promote the professional examination of multimedia web design and digital content transmission application skills through a professional grading certification system. In the future, students will continue to be encouraged to participate in relevant international certification exams, to enhance the competitiveness of the student.
  4. Increase students 'practical training and internships to promote their employability. This department encourages teachers to introduce industry-academia cooperation cases through the curriculum so that students' practical abilities can keep up with the industry. This can help students to understand the needs and application technology of the industry, and combine the practical needs of the industry; on the other hand, it also makes the school's research and development manpower ˊand energy a solid backing for the technology research and development of the industry; it also allows the industry's needs and feedback to become the driving force and development source of teaching.
  • Feedbacks from Social Services
  1. Promote return education, provide people with lifelong learning methods, cooperate with the Innovation Incubation Center to handle on-the-job classes and professional skills certification classes, and provide open courses for the Yunlin Chiayi Tainan region by opening promotion courses to link up the gap between urban and rural areas.
  2. Encourage our teachers to integrate social activities into the curriculum, assist local communities to improve, provide local innovation services, and promote social services.
  3. Our teachers and students are encouraged to assist local industry development through the industry-academia cooperation case, the Ministry of Economics SBIR project, and the mini-industry-academia project.

(C)Development strategy

Through SWOT we analyze our own internal condition about strengths and weaknesses, and external conditions about opportunities and threats. From analyzing our conditions, we find our self-position and features. After establishing the direction of development features, we take aim at our development strategy and formulate specific development priorities and target implements year by year.

We divide our strategy into three main parts, also known as our three main courses as follows: Video Design, Digital Game Design, Digital Value-Added Design. Mainly about digital game design, computer animation, digital audio-visual design, application software, digital value-added design and publishing. Through general knowledge education, design art theory and digital design technology, and the training of our professionally designed course, students will develop their ability in design theory and design practice, and have the ability to work in the field of digital industry as a qualified employee in the future.

  1. Connection between multi-media industry and the latest technology

Digital media technology integration and digital content development is our main target, cultivating digital content industry talents with "humanistic literacy, aesthetics, art and media technology integration technology" is also our mission.

With the development of apparent temperature technology, with the immersive interactive entertainment and experience of VR (Virtual Reality)and AR (Augmented Reality), it brings more possibilities to people's environment. The game industry looks forward to bringing the game industry to a new level through apparent temperature technology; The local tourism industry hopes to bring users a more convenient and life-like experience through immersive interaction, and to change the new model of traditional industrial experience. In the future, the technical combination of AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality) and MR (Mixed Reality) can create unlimited possibilities, and enhance the value of additional products through an immersive interactive experience for the multimedia industry. It’s the key direction for future development.

This department has continued proceeding three major types of courses in Digital Audio-Visual Design, Digital Game Design, and Digital Value-Added Design in talent cultivation, and develops capabilities in groups, except for the complete planning of each type In addition to the development of high-level courses, the "MRRTC” (Mixed Reality Research Teaching Center) was established in 2008 to strengthen the cultivation of key abilities with the development of technology.

  1. Import professional courses to industry-academia cooperation mechanism

The school plans an effective research and development system and operation mechanism to implement the research and development of basic and practical technology required by the industry, make good use of related resources, and conduct systematic or integrated academic research and the development of innovative technologies. Cooperate with manufacturers, and encourage students from relevant industries to participate in summer internships, train the talents needed for the development of the digital content industry successfully, and improve the humanities of the people, in line with the world trend. The department has the ability to integrate multiple fields, and has a vigorous influence on the digital content and digital game design industries. There are many opportunities for industry-academia cooperation to develop products. The Department is actively promoting and striving for the Industrial Area and Science Park near our school.

Teachers ’research and technology research and development have achieved particular results, combined with teaching, student internships or social needs, to exert substantial benefits, and established teaching and research teams. The two cooperate through the guidance and execution of digital media-related design competitions and graduation theme production. Allow students to obtain perfect guidance and good learning in school, provide and assist students with employment or progression counseling when they graduate, and continue to pay attention to the needs of graduates and industry.

 

  1. The connection between multimedia industry and social activities

Our school is located in the Yunlin, we hope to combine Yunlin ’s local features, traditional culture, and local industries (such as pouches, sugar factories ...). After digitizing the data, add value to the digital collection design and finally serve as an education and entertainment industry application, develop the features of the department, and contribute to the local. It also conducts marketing planning for local-level industries, including product packaging, image LOGO design, business card design, sightseeing factory planning, etc., combined with the traditional culture of Yunlin to develop local features, and cooperates with manufacturers to provide certification courses to enhance student competitiveness. Establish visibility and authority in the central region.

The department combines practical courses, future planning and industry cooperation to help students understand the future service employment situation earlier, and encourage students to participate in national and international competitions to improve students' strength, from design, creativity, management, etc. The ability to integrate and teamwork. B、Develop students’ core competence

According to the "2018-2029 school year Huwei University of Science and Technology long-term school affairs development plan", uphold the school maxim, place students as the center, cultivate practical professional talents needed by the national society, to promote the common development of industry and academia, and plant the country competitiveness. According to the school's educational goals, the core competence of the training is set as: interpersonal interaction, self-growth, humanistic literacy, international mobile, innovative creativity, cross-domain integration, information ability, and professional skills.

The College of Arts and Sciences implements the industrialization development goals of healthy cultural industry development based on school-level indicators and college features. The core competency goals set are: innovation ability, aesthetic ability, technological ability, practical ability, and train students to have "innovation, beauty, technology, and practice” life innovative talents.

The Department sets five core competence indicators based on the indicators set by the school, including (1) Digital technical ability; (2) Aesthetic literacy ability; (3) Innovative design ability; (4) Communication integration ability; (5) Project planning ability.

     C、Cultivate our core competence

The department mainly uses teacher expertise, industry needs and students' future employment as the basis for planning and development of the medium and long-term plan. The main focus is to make a comprehensive plan in the following aspects: the development of professional features, the improvement of teaching quality, the care of student growth, and the feedback of social services, etc., and the development of digital audio-visual design, digital game design, digital Featured talents in the field of value-added design are the core principle.

The Department of Multimedia Design persist in the professional development in related fields such as "Digital Audio-Visual Design, Digital Game Design, Digital Value-Added Design"; hopes that through the implementation and promotion of planned courses, it is expected to help the development of the domestic digital content industry It is also expected to further enhance Taiwan's international competitiveness in the digital content industry and move towards a new era of digital content.

Our department plans three major courses, separately: "Digital Audio and Video Design", "Digital Game Design" and "Digital Value-Added Design". The main directions include digital game design, computer animation, digital audio and video design, application content software, digital plus Value and learning design and publishing. We hope through the cultivation of general education, design art theory and digital design technology, and through the training of professional principle course design, students will develop their ability in design theory and design practice, so that students can apply on digital video design, digital game design, digital value-added design and other related work in the future.

The Digital Content Industry Development Steering Group of the Executive Yuan divides the digital content industry into eight categories, including digital game design, computer animation, digital learning, digital video and audio design applications, mobile content, network services, content software, and digital publishing value-added. The three major principle of "Digital Audio-Visual Design", "Digital Game Design", "Digital Value-Added Design" curriculum planning, its key point and development of our strategies is condensed out of the eight categories. Through the three major curriculum design, the ultimate goal is to cultivate multimedia design professionals; the main teaching and research directions are as follows:

  • Digital Audio-Visual Design

creative talents. The basic goal of our group is the foundation of all multimedia creation applications. The purpose of this course is to achieve the objectives of "Digital Audio-Visual Design Teaching Material Development", "Digital Audio-Visual Design Integration and Promotion", "Digital Creative Value-added and Application" and "Digital Animation Technology Improvement". And through the subsidy for the promotion of humanities and digital teaching by the Ministry of Education, our curriculum planning of "Digital Audio and Video Design and Creation" is hoped to establish a complete curriculum learning process under the basic framework of cultivating "Digital Audio and Video Design and Creation Talents"; It also hopes to achieve the goals of "Digital Audiovisual Design Textbook Development", "Digital Audio-Visual Design Integration and Promotion", "Digital Creative Value-added and Application" and "Digital Animation Technology Improvement" through the development of our curriculum.

  • Digital Game Design

Facing the global economic downturn, according to the statistics of the NPD (National Purchase Diary) Group ’s research on game console sales in the United States, the sales of game consoles and software in the United States increased by 18% in October 2008 compared to the same period last year. This refers to the opportunities for game content software, in addition to the country's efforts to promote the development of the knowledge economy to enhance Taiwan ’s competitiveness, the “interactive technology, learning-assisted gaming application software and hardware integration” has become popular, and game support healthcare and other industries have become increasingly diverse in application, and the game industry is currently booming globally. The purpose of this course is based on human-computer interaction, based on art theory, creative thinking, and design methods. It integrates 3D computer graphics, digital audio-visual design, and application development into interactive applications, and adds "MRRTC Mixed Reality Research Teaching Center". "In the school, we can combine various academic units to cooperate with each other, such as the sports room in the school, the mechanical and electronic department of the engineering department, the aircraft department ... etc., to develop software applications for healthy entertainment devices to cultivate digital game design, digital learning, interactive art, health and entertainment application software and hardware design talents.

  • Digital Value-Added Design

Design can improve the quality of human life, enhance the cultural level of society, and increase the joy of life. Designers must grasp the pulse of social culture as a source of design ideas and reflect it on design. Students are encouraged to take "culture" as the basis to help solve social and industrial problems through design is the meaning of "digital value-added design". This course plans to take "digital value-added design" as the main development direction, take the cultivation of "digital value-added design talents" as the goal, and is based on art theory, creative thinking and design methods, hoping to establish a complete and integrated curriculum learning process structure, also hopes to achieve the goals of "digital value-added design content development" and "digital creative value-added and application" through the development of the course. The series of courses from easy to difficult, to train digital value-added design talents.

D、Education goals achieving progress

  • First: Teachers-Strengthen teachers' academic research, creative ability

The department encourages teachers to participate in the publication of journals, journals or seminars at home and abroad, co-organize conferences, strengthen academic exchanges with related institutions at home and abroad, or participate in teacher joint exhibitions and individual exhibition activities, such as participating in art journal submission, International seminar on digital media design; at the teaching level, teachers are encouraged to participate in innovative teaching and learning activities and introduce courses, such as problem-oriented learning and innovation courses (Problem-Based Learning, PBL), deepen learning and interdisciplinary courses, micro-credit courses, and autonomous learning courses.

Through the "Multimedia Web Design and Digital Content Dissemination Core Application Ability-Adobe Certified Associate (ACA)" and the certification course of information software application, allowing students in our department to obtain international licenses, and reserve professional ability can be linked up with international standards and industry demand and become more competitive in the future.

With the promotion of the school's international exchanges, the multicultural environment in the school will become increasingly mature. Teachers of the department are encouraged to set up full English courses to cultivate students 'language skills, improve the students' ability to listen to and teach in foreign languages, and so that foreign students can also study in class.

The features of our department is that we enroll students from two backgrounds, design and electronics. This enrollment type is also first seen in Taiwan. The Executive Yuan has listed the development of the digital content industry as a cultural and creative industry under six emerging industries. One of the key projects, we hope to integrate the creative and content industries and promote industrial value-added and application circulation. The training of digital content industry professionals is an important direction for the department. Promote the cultivation of students 'self-learning spirit and the promotion of local creative talents, and build four discussion room spaces, one public discussion space, and one reading area, to build a complete learning environment and stimulate students' design innovation energy. The curriculum planning of the department is divided into three major lines: Digital Audio-Visual Design, Digital Game Design, and Digital Value-Added Design. Five core competencies are set as educational goals of the department, and the three-level training curriculum design is planned. Corresponding to the training courses, and strengthen the students' professional ability in the future workplace.

  • Fourth: Application-The divergence of energy in industry-university activity

Our school is located in the Yunlin, we hope to combine Yunlin ’s local features, traditional culture, and local industries (such as pouches, sugar factories ...). Our department promotes professional design capabilities, under the leadership of teachers, through courses, independent learning organizations, etc., walk deeper into the place, excavate local stories, brand concepts, including the creation of Macromedia, product packaging design, brand design, etc., assist local creation, use digital technology and design marketing methods, bring the local uniqueness and value, and activate the spirit of social activities.

In response to the trend of internationalization, through the overseas intern training program (Japan and China), exchange students between Taiwan and South Korea and another process to reach the highest competitiveness of students; through professional training, strengthen professional theory, humanities and arts, the improvement of language ability and the cultivation of the practical needs of the industry, actively cultivate industrial development talents with "humanistic literacy, aesthetics, art, and media technology integration technology", and also expand opportunities for students through international talent training opportunities, hoping to be inspired and stimulated in different cultures, it stimulates the potential of becoming an international talent.

E、Our school promotes internationalization policy

  • Strengthen international student enrollment and establish a regional international cultural exchange center

  1. Current status

With Taiwan’s accession to the WTO, the internationalization of education is an inevitable trend, and our school has also deeply recognized this. Currently focusing on Vietnam and Sri Lanka, the completed projects include the signing of sister school agreements with Vietnam ’s Vinh University(Rongshi University), Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Eastern International University, Foreign Trade University, Vietnam and Hanoi University of Agriculture, and the signing of Sri Lanka ’s University of Peradeniya Cooperation agreements for the Dual Degree Program of the master class. In addition, the school also actively participates in the enrollment promotion activities of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) to Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries. There are currently forty-three foreign students from Vietnam, one Thailand and five Indonesian students enrolled in our school.

  1. Future Strategy

In the future, except continuing the current enrollment, the school will regard the first batch of international students as the seed students of the future international enrollment, and establish a good featuring image of the school through reputation marketing, supplemented by fully planned international students reception process, scholarship planning, and employment counseling combined with the needs of relevant Taiwanese businessmen, to lay a good foundation for long-term international student recruitment activities. After the number of international students in the school increase in the future, the multicultural environment on the campus will become more and more mature, and international students mainly based on graduate students will bring a specific international atmosphere on campus; Apart from the International Industry and Academia service center, international graduate students will also be the core to promote the establishment of a regional international cultural exchange center located in the Xingzhong branch. In the future, the center will use its geographical advantage in high-speed rail stations to provide interchange and friendship for international students. Will also have the function of providing international students with life counseling and bringing international cultural exchange and education to the locality.

  • A school participation mechanism establish to expand international exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students

  1. Current status

Overall, due to factors such as foreign language ability and family economic environment, students in the technical and vocational education system have less willingness and confidence to participate in English learning and international exchange activities. The way students who handle the overseas exchange and short-term courses on experience sharing meeting was changed from the 2009 academic year, to group the students who have won the school scholarship abroad, and take the initiative to all classes of the school to share their experience and gains with the students of various departments of the school through thematic lectures and seminars. To enhance the students in our department's willingness to participate in international exchange activities.

Besides, since 2009, our school has begun to promote the system of dedicated teachers for the sister school as a contact window. With the nature of voluntary obligations, it invites full-time teachers in the school to serve as the dedicated contact window between the school and the sister school; in this way, we can maintain a long-term relationship with our sister school. The hard-won mutual trust foundation and cooperation relationship to make up for the discontinuity of the international cooperation work promoted by the regular rotation of the administrative staff in the school. On the other hand, we can use the special responsibility to contact the teachers ’expertise in the department and form a relationship with the sister school. The key areas of cooperation between teachers and students will be of great help in promoting the cooperative relationship with sister schools, and can achieve mutually beneficial and beneficial development.

Our school further uses the opportunities of the English camp and the cultural exchange camp every year to arrange teachers on the campus as host families, so that foreign students can directly interact with the teachers and students and the community of our school, and expand the international atmosphere on campus.

  1. Future strategy 

To establish a school participation that expands international exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students, our school will continue to implement two new practices and systems and will take the initiative to all classes of the school to expand to general education seminars for freshmen after enrollment through special lectures and seminars. Continue to deliver special lectures for all classes in the school. The part of dedicated teachers will also continue to promote and regularly review the effectiveness as a basis for subsequent adjustments. It is expected that through the system of dedicated teachers, more teachers and students of the school can participate in international exchanges and cooperation. To enhance the school's international reputation, it actively recruits international outstanding students, recommends and subsidizes students for overseas study, an overseas internship, and exchanges students with sister schools; actively recruit foreign students, such as visiting international excellent universities in person and conducting enrollment promotion, actively recruiting international outstanding students. In terms of improving the quality of teaching in all English, relevant methods such as giving priority to hiring new teachers with foreign study experience and teaching in English are provided. Besides, a Chinese language course is offered to provide foreigners who are interested in learning Chinese language and overseas Chinese children to study. It also stipulates that foreign students of this school are required courses, which can attract the willingness of overseas students to study. The long-term goal of the school to promote international exchanges and cooperation is to increase the number of exchange students and exchange professors, and hope to use the concept of critical mass to achieve the goal of enhancing the international atmosphere of the campus, thereby forming a campus student and the vision of international integration and the courage to explore and try.

To improve the foreign language ability of students around the world, enhance students' motivation to learn foreign languages, and strengthen the professional growth of teachers, and at the same time devote to curriculum planning, focusing on improving teaching quality; mid-term commitment to provide community multi-language training courses; long-term commitment to creating an international living environment, according to development features.

Teachers’ professional ability cooperates with various language curriculum planning, and uses audio-visual multimedia equipment to carry out practical language teaching, thereby improving the actual language teaching effectiveness and strengthening students’ language skills; regularly conducting foreign language ability testing and counseling to enhance technical and vocational academic education students language skills. The establishment of a "Language Corner" and "Self-study Center" is expected that graduates of the liberal arts, engineering, electricity, and management schools will have good foreign language skills, strengthen students' motivation to learn, and enhance their language abilities. In recent years, with the development of computer information and Internet communication and the formation of the global village concept, English has become the most important international communication language. How to improve the foreign language ability of college students is one of the important issues in universities.

Our technical and vocational academic education has developed vigorously in recent years, which can be said to be an important milestone in the history of Taiwan’s education. However, the status of foreign language courses in technical and vocational academic education has not been valued. As a result, most of the students in the technical and vocational academic system have generally lost their foreign language ability and are unable to face competition in their future work.

Cooperate with the education policy and cooperate with the school's extension education center to set up foreign language training courses that meet the needs of the community and students outside the school.

With the global trend towards an international village, this department ’s education should also effectively integrate this trend, learn and face challenges directly, be able to absorb the experience and strengths of others, and use its own features and strengths to enhance future students and the competitiveness of teachers. Therefore, the Department will strengthen and create a learning environment for students, promote the communication between the teachers and students of the school and international universities, in order to meet the interface of global development.

There are many ways and strategies to promote the internationalization of higher education, but its main point is to promote international exchanges; expand academic contacts, deepen local cultivation; enhance competitive advantage and compete globally. Our department considers the overall teaching in the future and the creation of an internationalized course environment, to give consideration to both output and input, and is implemented by the course, students and teachers. At the same time, according to the features of the school's technical and vocational academic system, it will connect the surrounding industries, and build a comprehensive international environment that can connect the global and deep cultivation of the local, so that the department can become an international living village featuring by industrial technology, and to construct a learning environment with both industry and internationalization in the next three years.

The department focuses on research and practice, design research and design practice are compatible, and the teachers are all from the school of the domain, contributing academic ability and practical operation experience, and satisfying students' willingness to learn and interest. As far as design research is concerned, it is both a relevant domestic research unit and a basic platform for international cooperation. Mainly based on Middlesex University and Singapore University, and combining the international resources of three other universities in Taiwan (National YunLin University of Science and Technology, National Chiao Tung University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology) to build an international design research course. In terms of design practice, through the organization of Design Workshop, exchange of personnel, and exchange of students, promoting through international design culture and cross-border design practice. The main design exchange objects are Central Saint Martin College, University of Art, London and Goldsmiths College, University of London, Pratt Institute of the United States, and Rochester Institute of Technology of the United States. The execution strategy is described in the following sub-items.

Cooperating with the school's policy of "strengthening international student enrollment", the department is open to enrolling China, Hong Kong and Macao students, Malaysian overseas students, and international students interested in multimedia from various countries.

Cooperate with the school to set up an international exchange specialist, be responsible for cooperation agreements with famous foreign universities or scientific research units, organize international and cross-strait academic exchange activities and technical competitions, promote exchange professors or visiting famous scholars to participate in our department's short-term teaching or research projects, And encourage international students to come to Taiwan to study, to improve the international outlook of teachers and students of our department. Teachers and students of this department are also encouraged to participate in international exchange activities, such as participating in international seminars, multinational exhibitions, etc., and various academic exchange activities are linked up with international standards.

  1. Strategy three: Promote full English teaching environment

The multicultural environment in the school is maturing. Teachers of our department are encouraged to set up full English courses to cultivate students 'language skills, and improve students' ability to listen, teaching in foreign languages,  and so that foreign students can also study in class. In addition, with the national language proficiency test promoted by our school, we can be more sure of the Chinese language ability of foreign students before entering Taiwan, so as to attract the international students' willingness to study.

The department cooperates with the school to promote international exchanges, strengthen the exchange student system with foreign universities, encourage students to participate in exchange student activities, study abroad and expand international eyesights, enhance language skills, and explore professional knowledge in different learning environments. Expand interpersonal relationships; or absorb professional skills overseas through internships, understand the overseas job market, experience the workplace employment, enhance your own competitiveness, and also strive for opportunities in overseas employment.

  1. Recruit international students

Since the 2016 academic year, we started enrolling Russian students in the spring master's class. We’ve been enrolling students from Hong Kong, Macao, Hong Kong and Macao, overseas Chinese and Mongolian students for quite a long time and attracted students from all over the world to come to study every year.

  1. International exchange activities

The invited King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi Dr. Chujit Treerattanaphan, Chai Sunyavivat for academic exchange activities, Russian artist Alexey Andreev for speech exchange activities, Russian international exchange student Ou Ningxia classmates for individual exhibitions, combined with the exhibition of the achievements of our students held at the end of each semester Dongseo University and King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi co-organized the "Medium Sense Experience" three school students exchange exhibition, which was exhibited in our school's exhibition space.
